In today’s dating culture, it is widely debated whether or not a man is expected to pay for the first date. Men are feeling used, after feelings of getting nothing in return for paying for the first date. To get a woman’s attention, is a man really obligated to cough up money on the first initial date in order to be seen as a potential “option” for the woman? If a man refuses to pay for the first date or simply would like to split the bill , is he suddenly banished to the friend zone or listed as an unsaved number? The idea is that if a man takes the time to pay for your meal, [especially if he took you to an expensive restaurant] then sex is expected at the end of the night. Let’s all keep it real, if a man spends $200 on a date, he’s expecting to get some ass at the end of the evening; not a simple kiss on the cheek and a “good night” text. The question is…do women owe this to men? Continue reading “If a Man Pays for a Date…You Owe Him Sex?”
A lot of people loosely throw the word “loyalty” around as if it’s a quality that everyone possesses. In regards to a relationship, loyalty towards your partner is definitely one of the major keys that can either make or break it. Consistently showing your support and allegiance to your partner can help build a relationship with longevity and trust. Despite this, many women are often loyal to the wrong men. They either get caught up in their emotions and lead with their heart or end up leading with pleasureful desires if they become “dickmitized”. Both are equally unsatisfying. So the question is, at what point does being a loyal woman become a dumb ass decision?
I’m not at all against rebound relationships and I do believe that many people use them to get over the pain from their ex. Some people gain 100 lbs after an intense breakup, while some jump head first into a rebound situation in order to fulfill their sexual and emotional needs. When I look at Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston or think of when Kylie Jenner and PartyNextDoor had a brief hook up; I can’t even fix my face to have a side eye. So many people engage in rebound sex and relationships after they’ve had their heart broken; fame does not make them exempt. (Although, it’s still very uncertain as to whether Calvin Harris actually broke Taylor’s heart). The reality of it all, is that breakups can leave you feeling empty and alone. Sometimes people want that shoulder to cry on or just simply the intimacy that they no longer have with their ex. This is when people start to explore their options and turn to all those unsaved numbers in their phone looking for a “rebound”. Here are 7 Keys to Take into a Rebound Relationship:
It looks like Kim Kardashian just exposed Taylor Swift on Snap Chat and I must say I would love to see how this plays out. Back in February when Kanye released his album ” The Life of Pablo” he directed some rauchy lyrics towards Taylor in his track “Famous”: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous,” Kanye raps in the song’s opening verse. He goes on, “For all the girls that got dick from Kanye West/ If you see ’em in the streets give ’em Kanye’s bests/ Why? They mad they ain’t famous/ God damn/ They mad they’re still nameless.”
Now this would be pretty insulting if Kanye didn’t already have Taylor’s approval to release the track, despite the lyrics, Right? Around this time one of Taylor’s representatives released the following statement: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous”…..
In wake of the continuous deaths within the black community from police brutality, social media has been saturated with hashtags, opinions and rants. One in particular, “Why don’t more celebrities speak out on social injustices and police brutality”. Today, Twitter is in an uproar over prior statements made by rapper A$AP Rocky. In an interview published by Billboard Magazine back in May 2015, A$AP Rocky stated, “If I’m not going to Ferguson or any of these places — protesting or contributing — I should shut the f—- up. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do. It ain’t my place to speak on it.” Later that year in September 2015, A$AP did an interview with TimeOut where he further stated:
” They’re not forcing me to do shit. I’m just gonna stay black and die. Why, because I’m black? So every time something happens because I’m black I gotta stand up? What the fuck am I, Al Sharpton now? I’m A$AP Rocky. I did not sign up to be no political activist. I wanna talk about my motherfuckin’ lean, my best friend dying, the girls that come in and out of my life, the jiggy fashion that I wear, my new inspirations in drugs! I don’t wanna talk about no fucking Ferguson and shit because I don’t live over there! I live in fucking Soho and Beverly Hills. I can’t relate. I’m in the studio; I’m in these fashion studios; I’m in these bitches’ drawers. I’m not doing anything outside of that. That’s my life”.
A$AP Rocky and several other celebrities to include Kevin Hart, Beyonce, Rihanna, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys to name a few recently spoke out in a very emotional video for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Due to previous statements from last year, A$AP Rocky received a lot of back lash for comments.
Do you think celebrities sometimes being vocal about societal issues, racism and politics does more harm than good? Here are 5 Reasons Why Many Celebrities Choose Not to Speak:
The hype that surrounds Chance the Rapper’s anticipated mixtape, Coloring Book, is well deserved. He released the project on Thursday and I have already killed the sound in one of my earbuds….the left one to be exact. Chance has already had a great year so far with his cowrite and appearance in Kanye Ye’s album The Life of Pablo, and his features with other artists like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Skrillex. Coloring Book is a true testament of Chance’s growth as an artist after his previous mixtapes: Acid Rap (2013) 10 Day (2012). Coloring Book featured a few of my favorite artists to include: Kanye West of course, Lil Wayne, 2 Chains, Young Thug, Lil Yachty, Justin Bieber, T Pain, Kirk Franklin and Future to name a few. You seriously can’t go wrong with a list like that:

For those of you who do not know, Twitter erupted yesterday after R&B singer/songwriter, Kehlani was publically accused of cheating on her NBA boyfriend Kyrie Irving with her musician ex boyfriend PartyNextDoor. Of course social media made the situation ten times worse and Kehlani was called a whore. Men from all points of the earth came together in a unified chant, “this is why I don’t trust women”! All in all, if Kim Kardashian ” two divorces, sex tape, extensive slut shaming ” has never publically attempted suicide what made Kehlani feel that this was the only way. Why Kehlani?
What Lead Kehlani Too This Point ??
Most of us have been through a significant break up within our lives and in today’s society , breakups are seen as a race. We race to see who will move on first and there’s always a competition on social media to see who will be the “pettiest”. I personally love the couples that post faithfully about their relationship every week. They never miss a WCW or a MCM post. They are committed to posting their fancy dinner dates and basic relationship memes that remind us that we are missing out on their picture perfect union and love. Then all of a sudden, the posts stop! That’s when I know that things have hit the fan, and the posts about how they’re finding themselves and how they will patiently wait for the “right one” begin. This is the turning point, where I know the plot will thicken and social media pettiness will be at an all time high. So I brace myself….Celebrities aren’t the only people that enjoy putting their business on social media for the world to see.
