This is the perfect spot to insert the rolling eyes emoji because that’s exactly how I feel about this confession. As you all may know, we have a segment called Snap Confessionals where people submit questions to us and we give them our honest opinion, while they remain anonymous. This question came in hot off the press yesterday morning and I’m still feeling some type of way so how do I vent my frustrations? Blog about it to you all of course.
There’s only one of a few ways for this scenario to end so let’s discuss the train wreck that crashed into our dm’s yesterday. Continue reading “He’s in a relationship, but I still want to sleep with him?”
In today’s dating culture, it is widely debated whether or not a man is expected to pay for the first date. Men are feeling used, after feelings of getting nothing in return for paying for the first date. To get a woman’s attention, is a man really obligated to cough up money on the first initial date in order to be seen as a potential “option” for the woman? If a man refuses to pay for the first date or simply would like to split the bill , is he suddenly banished to the friend zone or listed as an unsaved number? The idea is that if a man takes the time to pay for your meal, [especially if he took you to an expensive restaurant] then sex is expected at the end of the night. Let’s all keep it real, if a man spends $200 on a date, he’s expecting to get some ass at the end of the evening; not a simple kiss on the cheek and a “good night” text. The question is…do women owe this to men? Continue reading “If a Man Pays for a Date…You Owe Him Sex?”
Ever breakup with someone and all of sudden they’re doing EVERYTHING they said they would never do. You may have been in a relationship with someone who said they didn’t drink or party but, you catch them all over social media at the hottest clubs tweeting about how shit faced they are the next morning. Maybe you were with a girl who dressed super conservative and after a breakup, all her social media accounts resemble that of a budding Instagram model in the making; fit tea included. You might sit there and ponder why they couldn’t just be themselves during the entire relationship or why they didn’t feel comfortable enough to experience new things with you? Here are 5 Reasons Why Your Ex Changes After a Breakup:

A lot of people loosely throw the word “loyalty” around as if it’s a quality that everyone possesses. In regards to a relationship, loyalty towards your partner is definitely one of the major keys that can either make or break it. Consistently showing your support and allegiance to your partner can help build a relationship with longevity and trust. Despite this, many women are often loyal to the wrong men. They either get caught up in their emotions and lead with their heart or end up leading with pleasureful desires if they become “dickmitized”. Both are equally unsatisfying. So the question is, at what point does being a loyal woman become a dumb ass decision?

I’m not at all against rebound relationships and I do believe that many people use them to get over the pain from their ex. Some people gain 100 lbs after an intense breakup, while some jump head first into a rebound situation in order to fulfill their sexual and emotional needs. When I look at Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston or think of when Kylie Jenner and PartyNextDoor had a brief hook up; I can’t even fix my face to have a side eye. So many people engage in rebound sex and relationships after they’ve had their heart broken; fame does not make them exempt. (Although, it’s still very uncertain as to whether Calvin Harris actually broke Taylor’s heart). The reality of it all, is that breakups can leave you feeling empty and alone. Sometimes people want that shoulder to cry on or just simply the intimacy that they no longer have with their ex. This is when people start to explore their options and turn to all those unsaved numbers in their phone looking for a “rebound”. Here are 7 Keys to Take into a Rebound Relationship:

It looks like Kim Kardashian just exposed Taylor Swift on Snap Chat and I must say I would love to see how this plays out. Back in February when Kanye released his album ” The Life of Pablo” he directed some rauchy lyrics towards Taylor in his track “Famous”: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous,” Kanye raps in the song’s opening verse. He goes on, “For all the girls that got dick from Kanye West/ If you see ’em in the streets give ’em Kanye’s bests/ Why? They mad they ain’t famous/ God damn/ They mad they’re still nameless.”
Now this would be pretty insulting if Kanye didn’t already have Taylor’s approval to release the track, despite the lyrics, Right? Around this time one of Taylor’s representatives released the following statement: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous”…..

In wake of the continuous deaths within the black community from police brutality, social media has been saturated with hashtags, opinions and rants. One in particular, “Why don’t more celebrities speak out on social injustices and police brutality”. Today, Twitter is in an uproar over prior statements made by rapper A$AP Rocky. In an interview published by Billboard Magazine back in May 2015, A$AP Rocky stated, “If I’m not going to Ferguson or any of these places — protesting or contributing — I should shut the f—- up. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do. It ain’t my place to speak on it.” Later that year in September 2015, A$AP did an interview with TimeOut where he further stated:
” They’re not forcing me to do shit. I’m just gonna stay black and die. Why, because I’m black? So every time something happens because I’m black I gotta stand up? What the fuck am I, Al Sharpton now? I’m A$AP Rocky. I did not sign up to be no political activist. I wanna talk about my motherfuckin’ lean, my best friend dying, the girls that come in and out of my life, the jiggy fashion that I wear, my new inspirations in drugs! I don’t wanna talk about no fucking Ferguson and shit because I don’t live over there! I live in fucking Soho and Beverly Hills. I can’t relate. I’m in the studio; I’m in these fashion studios; I’m in these bitches’ drawers. I’m not doing anything outside of that. That’s my life”.
A$AP Rocky and several other celebrities to include Kevin Hart, Beyonce, Rihanna, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys to name a few recently spoke out in a very emotional video for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Due to previous statements from last year, A$AP Rocky received a lot of back lash for comments.
Do you think celebrities sometimes being vocal about societal issues, racism and politics does more harm than good? Here are 5 Reasons Why Many Celebrities Choose Not to Speak:

After I nearly had a heart attack and a stroke simultaneously during the Warriors VS Cavaliers final game, social media was split with support for LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Steph Curry. As I stumbled across crying LeBron memes and the awkward silence from Ayesha Curry on Twitter……I found Rihanna on Instagram trolling Steph Curry and being overly supportive of her “bae”, LeBron. Let us not forget that LeBron has been married to his high school sweetheart, Savannah, since 2013 and they have three children together. How does an openly single woman in Hollywood have the audacity to call a married man “BAE”, joke or not via social media. If your man was approached by an attractive woman, like Rihanna, would you give him a hall pass to cheat?

Beyonce released a visual for her new album Lemonade and I’ve been in formation since the Super Bowl. I just want Beyonce to know that I died 15 minutes into the premiere. “I can taste the dishonesty on your lips”. Beyonce sends us through the emotions of what appears to be a relationship that has been through the trials of cheating, however, ultimately reaching common ground in the end. Suddenly the whole elevator incident all makes perfect sense and in actuality Beyoncé could be taking us through her own emotions within her relationship with Jay Z. I can’t speak for men, but Beyonce wrapped up all the emotions a woman feels when she has been betrayed by the man she loves.
The entire visual of Beyonce’s album had be questioning what did Jay Z exactly do to Beyonce during their relationship. More importantly, how do you cheat on Beyonce? Either way, Beyonce threw her whole entire soul and being into this album; meanwhile Jay Z officially has 100 problems. I love how she infused the African and Louisiana culture throughout the entire visual. I loved how Warsan Shire’s poetry was quoted throughout Lemonade to portray her various emotions. I noticed a few familiar faces to include Zendaya, Jay Z, Winnie Harlow, Quvenzhabe Wallis and Amandla Stenberg to name a few. Beyoncé also incorporated some of the families that have been affected by police brutality to include Sybrina Fulton (Trayvon Martin’s mother) and Al Jazeera America ( Michael Brown’s mother). Below are the different emotions that Beyoncé takes us through during the visual:

I couldn’t even think of anything clever to introduce this blog post because the title was probably enough to make some of you give up on mankind entirely but don’t throw in the towel yet. Just read the post first, then contemplate whether or not the world is worth saving.
