Wow so Ari and myself are finally moving to New York City! Its been a crazy week full of emotional ups and downs, I hate you and I love you’s; who knew going after your dreams could cause so much drama? What’s supposed to be the most exciting time of our lives has quickly turned into the worst time ever. Here’s our latest #ImSoReckless: Continue reading “Dreams Really Do Come True, Sometimes | #ImSoReckless”
Ok so someone should seriously alert whoever’s in charge of issuing common sense that society, as we know it, is on the brink of definite failure. Why the dramatics you ask? Well yesterday while I was casually conducting my weekly Instagram sweep, I came across an unforgivable post. It was a picture of Stevie J and Joseline and the caption read “Couple Goals”. To make matters worse, it had likes, like 60 of them. This lead me to wonder exactly how Instagram would allow such fuckery and when we as people began calling wrong, right and toxic, healthy. Lets look at why its always better to be in a partnership vs a relationship. Continue reading “Are You in a Relationship or a Partnership?”
We have officially survived the worst year known to man, 2016. Good riddance you bitch. I don’t know about the rest of you but last year taught me to pray for the best while preparing for the worse. So now may not be the time to kick back, relax and enjoy the year ahead. 2017 is going to be full of Beyonce type highs and Mariah Carey type lows, her career just couldn’t survive the last few hours before ultimately committing suicide in front of the world. RIP Mariah. Well in case you’re planning on 2017 being your best year yet, here’s a few tips to make that happen. Otherwise this is going to be another year relentlessly sucking the life out of you the same way drake snatches the minds, hearts and souls of all his women. So let’s talk about how to make 2017 great: Continue reading “Why 2017 Is Still Going to Suck”
Wasn’t sure if I was going to publicly share such an intimate and private list on my goals for 2017, then I asked myself “why the hell not?” Thanks to the hardships, misfortunes, and just straight savageness that 2016 dished us, I have sunk to an all new level of shamelessness I didn’t know existed. Im not afraid of the future anymore, hell, I can’t wait for the new year. 2017 is going to be my restore to factory settings chance, my come to jesus moment, my new year new me rebirth; then the sour taste of this year will finally be wiped away. I’m not being unrealistic about the new year just slightly impractical and a little illogical but almost everyone lives in some form of denial. I like to call it Kanye syndrome. Anyways, here’s my list of new year’s resolutions for 2017: Continue reading “My 2017 New Years Resolution”
The most humorous aspect about beginning a new year is the fact that we, the people, love to kick it off with a bunch of lies. Lies about how were going to change, start that new diet, never sleep with that fuckboy again, call our mother more. I know change can be difficult to accept, let alone follow through with but how else are we going to get right for summer, start that new business, or eat, pray, love? Lets talk about how to stick to those new year’s resolutions when the going gets tough. Continue reading “How to Stick to Your New Year’s Resolution”
So often on social media, I see men and women debate what it means to be “wifey material”. Who wrote the set of rules that determines whether or not a woman fits the mold of what a wife should be. It is 2016 right? Women are taught that if they don’t dress or act a certain way, then they will not get a decent husband. Society places unnecessary pressure for us to find a husband and get married but, not without looking and acting a certain way.
It is no secret that NBA player Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, is put on a pedestal for men and is considered the ideal “goal”when it comes to marriage. From a public standpoint, Ayesha fits the mold of a conservative wife; but where is the issue with a married woman like Kim Kardashian also coexisting. Who says that getting you an “Ayesha Curry” is going to solve all of your problems when it comes to a relationship; she’s not an antidote.
The standards of a woman being “wifey material” are overrated and here’s why:
